Emergency Elektrician

Do you urgently need an electrician? We also provide emergency call-out services.
If a fuse or circuit breaker has tripped and will not reset, if urgent electrical work is required during a kitchen installation, or if you can see or hear sparking from a socket, distribution board or meter cupboard, the installation should be checked as soon as possible.
If you notice smoke, there may be a risk of fire. Switch off major electrical appliances such as the washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, induction hob and other high-power appliances if it is safe to do so.
If you see a fire, call 112 immediately. Never use water to extinguish an electrical fire and do not touch the affected equipment or installation.
Sometimes a power cut affects the entire street or neighbourhood. Check whether street lighting is working and whether neighbouring properties still have power. You can also ask your neighbours if their electricity is working. If the outage affects the wider area, an electrician cannot restore the supply. In that situation, you will need to wait for the grid operator to resolve the fault.
If the power has gone out in your home but neighbouring properties still have electricity, check your meter cupboard or distribution board to see whether a circuit breaker or residual current device has tripped. Think about which appliance you switched on immediately before the fault occurred, unplug that appliance, and try resetting the breaker.
If there is still no power, the main fuse or main connection may have tripped. In some newer installations, the main protection may be resettable. Older installations may contain a sealed fuse belonging to the grid operator. If this fuse has operated, the grid operator will need to be contacted to inspect or replace it.
