Air Conditioning
During the summer's tropical temperatures, it is wonderful to keep your home pleasantly cool with air conditioning. An air conditioner essentially works like a refrigerator in reverse: it extracts heat from the indoor air and vents it outside, blowing fresh, cool air back into the room.
An air conditioning system consists of two parts: an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The outdoor unit houses a compressor containing refrigerant. The absorbed heat causes the refrigerant to evaporate into a gas—carrying the heat away from the indoor air—before flowing to the condenser, where it turns back into a liquid and releases the heat into the outside air.
Air conditioning installation must always be performed by a certified installer. This is essential because the process involves working with refrigerant gases, and you want the system to operate safely, without leaks, and as efficiently as possible.
To install an air conditioner, you need the following:
- An indoor unit and an outdoor unit
- A certified installer (specializing in refrigeration technology) for mounting and connection
- An electrician to install an additional circuit in the fuse box, including a separate fuse and the necessary wiring to the units
